Christmas at Grandpa's House

Emma had a fun time with Christmas at Grandpa's house! She was spoiled with many gifts from Grandpa and Grandma. Grandma loves to feed and snuggle with Emma and Grandpa enjoys playing with Emma. Emma continues to want to walk with help, but she can stand all on her own now! She can walk by herself if she's holding on to the edge of the couch or cabinet.

Emma loves to give daddy "kisses."  When dad asks for a kiss, Emma will lean her head forward towards dad and touch her face against his.  I love it and think it is absolutely adorable.  Emma also likes to give high fives.  We've also turned cleanup after eating into a fun activity.  Emma likes to "clean clean" and wipe her high chair table with clean wipes.

Every visit I make sure to get Emma laughing hysterically at least once. I don't know why I didn't record some of these earlier, but here is a great one! My heart wants to explode when she is laughing and we're having such a good time together.

Emma's First Halloween!

Emma was a cute little baby R2D2 for her first Halloween!  We took a bunch of photos before and after in her full costume.  She loved the pretty tutu and she enjoyed being outside and playing with the leaves.  Emma continues to want to walk with dad's or Grammy's assistance all the time.  She is so happy when she walks and doesn't want to stop.

Emma has learned how to clap and can clap all by herself.  This makes her very happy to do!  She is also learning bye-bye.  Emma likes to point at things and she especially loves to look at pictures.

Emma, Grammy and dad went to the Tracy Aviary to see all the pretty birds.  Emma loved it and was very interested in all the moving birds.  She especially liked the bird show when a big vulture flew right over our heads!

For Emma's first Halloween we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house and then to Matt and Melissa's house.  Matt and Melissa finally met Emma for the first time.  Emma was very interested in Melissa's Halloween face paint.

10 Months old

Emma is growing so fast!  She's about to reach the toddler stage!  Emma's favorite activity is to walk with dad's assistance.  Once she starts walking she is all smiles and doesn't want to stop.  She gets upset when we stop walking, even though her legs are like jelly and she can barely move.  Emma now says "da da" all the time when she sees me.  She crawls super fast too.  One funny thing is that Emma loves Vader's metal cage.  Emma loves to open and close doors and she likes the metal clank sounds it makes.

Emma gets new toys all the time, here she is playing with giant legos (mega bloks) for the first time (sorry for bad audio, was still using a waterproof case for this video).

So Many Firsts!

Big update!  Emma is now 9 months old and does her visits at my place, so we've been able to experience a bunch of firsts together.  Otis and Vader were very excited to finally meet the newest member of the family.  They were very curious about Emma and love when she visits.

I got a cheap GoPro knockoff (the Yi, which is amazing) to capture some fun videos.  Here is a video of Emma's first time at my place.

Grammy comes over a couple of hours every Saturday to spend time with Emma.  Emma loves her Grammy!

Finally, after a fun day, Emma poops out and needs a nap.  Dad loves to hold her while she falls asleep.  I would describe this as the best feeling in the world.
